John
shears
Llamas
and Alpacas for $30 a head, and he will trim their toenails at your
request. If you have more than 30 animals at one location, he will do
them for $25 a head. He prefers to lay them down and restrain them with
ropes as this is safest for the animal as well as the shearer. He brings
his own restraints and mats, as well as a helper, and prefers owners to
have their own help bagging and sorting fleece as well as cleanup. If
you or your vet would like to vaccinate or worm them while he's got them
down, please be sure to let us know beforehand as this tends to slow
down the process. Bio
security is a priority to us, as we raise livestock too. John disinfects
all of his equipment between flocks and will come onto your property in
clean boots with clean equipment. If you would prefer that he use your
equipment, please let us know beforehand so he knows what he needs to
bring or not bring...While we take precautions and use the gentlest and
safest methods for shearing your animals, accidents can happen due to
the nature of livestock handling. We cannot be held responsible for
accidents. For more
